Tips for taking a trip to see our neighbors

South of Rockaway Beach, a 30-minute drive or less
The Port of Tillamook Bay is located in Garibaldi, a great place to go fishing, clamming or crabbing.
The next small town is Bay City, boasting two of Tillamook County’s best places to eat. Try breakfast at Downies Cafe in the middle of town or lunch at the Fish Peddler. Hosted by Pacific Seafood this local establishment has been rated one of Oregon’s top 10 restaurants for seafood. The City of Tillamook is home to two great cheese factories, Tillamook Cheese and the Blue Heron. Both are great adventures for families.
Be sure and stop at one of them on your way to the Octopus Tree or Cape Meares Lighthouse. If you make it as far as Pacific City, the Pelican Pub brewery gets rave reviews.
North of Rockaway Beach, a 30-minute drive or less

Brighton has two beautiful marinas for crabbing, clamming, boating and water fun, along with Wheeler on the Bay. This quaint little town is filled with antique shops and fabulous food. Try the Rising Star Cafe for dinner.

Our neighbors in Manzanita have great food, too! Try Left Coast Siesta and enjoy the high-end shops. Take a hike to Short Sands Beach, and make sure to drive to the top of Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain. It is truly an Oregon wonder. If you like to hike, it’s definitely one of the best.
